RC Plane

Nicknamed “Twinboom”, this remotely controlled pusher style aircraft sports a 3D printed PETG fuselage, and a 5 ft foamboard-wrapped, carbon fiber skeleton wing made using archery arrow shafts and 3D printed internal ribs. It was designed to be ultra-light while extra durable, achieving that with a weight of 1300 grams with battery and electronics included. It is capable of flying for half an hour on a single charge. With a consistent 10mph breeze, it flies stationary, hovering in place. It’s really quite an enjoyable plane to fly, especially since all the construction materials are highly cost effective, and thus can easily be replaced in the event of a mishap. This is only one of my aircraft models, though it’s my favorite by far. I’ve designed & built several others.
